Ever looked at the original Contra cover and thought you’d seen some of those characters before? Lo and behold but it’s actually inspired by a number of different action film properties. Pfc. Bill Rizer and Pfc. Lance Bean actually resemble Arnold Schwarzenegger from Predator and Sylvester Stallone from Rambo. Meanwhile, the alien in the background bears plenty resemblance to the Xenomorphs from the Alien films.
