It’s hard to believe that Mortal Kombat 11 is built on Unreal Engine 3, which is essentially a generation old by now- but then again, NetherRealm Studios have modified and tweaked the engine extensively, to the point where it’s vastly different from the actual, original engine. And the studio has really tailored the engine to its needs- gloriously gory explosions of blood, ridiculously detailed bone-shattering wounds, and excellent facial models and environments brimming with detail are just a few of the ways Mortal Kombat 11 wows with its graphics.
