Control
Control is emblematic of developer Remedy’s biggest strengths right from its ominous atmosphere to its intriguing story and thunderous combat, but it’s rare to see praise being showered for its physics and destruction mechanics. That’s a shame because Control gives players immensely powerful abilities like dashes and launching projectiles by lifting them from the ground, which can cause some serious damage to the environments. Dashing through offices shatters all tables in your path while lifting objects from the ground causes detailed deformation, and glasses shatter in a realistic fashion which really elevates the combat experience.
