It’s amazing to look back and think about how long it took for Half Life 2 to truly open up. Ask anyone who loves the game and they’ll tell you that business truly picks up in Chapter 3. Till then you’ll have various conversations with characters, learn more about the nefarious deeds that the Combine have wrought on Earth and spend time running before acquiring your first weapon (and subsequently, the Gravity Gun).
