Given Elite Dangerous’ nature as a sandbox title where you can do whatever the hell you want, have zero guidance to rely on, and have mountains of intricate mechanics to learn, all of which are thrown at you right in the beginning, it’s understandable that most newcomers are easily intimidated by the game.
