Ending – Dead Space

If anyone has gone through more pain than Max Payne, it has to be Isaac Clarke. Close to the end of Dead Space, Isaac realizes that his love Nicole is actually dead (and even worse, killed herself rather than deal with the Ishimura’s downfall). Things get turned up a notch when Isaac is assaulted by a Necromorph Nicole at the end, the game fading to black before we could see what transpires. You could say it was unclear whether it was a hallucination or not at the time. However, Dead Space 2 provided more context and cleared up that indeed, this was just a hallucination of Nicole.
