Assassin’s Creed Unity
Did Assassin’s Creed Unity run terribly at launch due to the sheer scale of its world and NPCs, lack of optimization, and terrible QA? Yes, but there’s no denying how gorgeous it looks, even by today’s standards. Set in France during the Revolution, it featured a litany of detailed, realistic interiors, and vibrant crowds of NPCs, sometimes reaching 1,000. Of course, the animations remained on point throughout, especially as Arno fluidly dipped and dived through his surroundings.
