What a great way this was to conclude Big Boss’ story. After spending years fighting for what he thought was the vision The Boss had for the world, after all the chaos and conflict that led to over the years, seeing Big Boss telling Snake in this moment that he finally understood his folly, that he finally understood what The Boss really wanted all along, was a beautiful moment. After seeing what chaos had ensued after The Patriots’ attempts at controlling the world and shaping it in their image, Big Boss finally realized that the best way forward was to, quite simply, to live and let live.
