The Ending – Inside

Playdead’s Inside seems akin to its seminal hit Limbo, at least in terms of aesthetic. Over time, we learn more from the minimalistic story-telling that something strange is happening with mind control. Some mysterious lab seems at the centre of it and for some reason, the protagonist really, really wants to get into this test chamber (which is actually a water tank of sorts). The result? He becomes part of an enormous mutated blob and proceeds to destroy everything. There’s a lot more to Inside’s story but honestly, this moment took us aback.
