NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 11 is a massive game and holds so many different references and secrets around almost every corner. $500 Sunglasses

For all the time that’s passed, it’s easy to forget just how much of a twit Johnny Cage was in the very beginning. He did brag after all about owning $500 sunglasses. However, this piece of headgear – which is literally called “$500 Sunglasses” – is actually a reference to the first Mortal Kombat film. Before they fight, Goro crushes Cage’s glasses, which subsequently leads to Cage proclaiming that “Those were $500 sunglasses” before knocking him off.
