Bosses Creating Weaknesses

Dark Souls 3

While every boss is out to get you – or come out on top in battle – they’ll often provide the tools for their own demise. The Snatcher in A Hat in Time, for instance, can’t be damaged because he can’t turn blue (which is how bosses usually indicate their vulnerability). Later, he launches an attack involving blue potions and one of them can be used to paint him blue, thus causing him to be vulnerable. Of course, there’s also Yhorm the Giant in Dark Souls 3 who can be beaten with Storm Ruler which is conveniently left on his throne for the player to grab.
