PROFESSOR OAK BATTLE GLITCH – POKEMON RED/BLUE

Game Freak originally intended to let players battle Professor Oak himself in Pokemon Red and Blue, but for some reason, decided to remove this from the final game. The Pokemon Professor’s trainer data, however, was left in the game, and many players were able to exploit Game Shark glitches that let them participate in the battle. Game Freak would later go on to include battles against other Pokemon Professors in future Pokemon titles, such as Sycamore in Pokemon X and Y.
