Turn based RPG Darkest Dungeon made its way to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in 2018, which meant that a fresh new wave of people got to engage with its harrowing journey. Planning out tactics, executing them to perfection, managing your party, making sure they all survive- all of it comes together in an experience that can be very challenging, enough to want to make you tear your hair out at times- but it’s also just as satisfying, and for that reason, inherently addictive and compelling.
