RAGE 2
A sequel to 2010’s RAGE was an exciting prospect, because id Software (and co-developers Avalanche) would finally have the chance to make good on the first game’s untapped potential. And while RAGE 2 certainly fixed some core issues from its predecessor – with its more seamless open world design and a much more vibrant and colourful look – it was, at the end of the day, a pretty forgettable experience. The core of RAGE 2 – its combat – is absolutely spectacular. The problem is, everything other than the combat – the terrible story, the bland open world, the repetitive side objectives, the disappointingly short length of the campaign – is a huge letdown.
