GENERATION ZERO
With Generation Zero, Avalanche Software took an approach very different from Just Cause, offering an open world that wasn’t chaotic and over-the-top, but more grim and grounded. And though its setting and its premise and its mechanical foes were definitely interesting concepts on paper, the game itself wasn’t terribly fun to play. Generation Zero was by no means a bad game – it was perfectly functional in most ways – but it was thoroughly forgettable.
