RESIDENT EVIL 3 (2020)
After the excellent Resident Evil 2 remake, it was hard not to be excited for a similarly modernized version of the often overlooked RE3, but Capcom’s next remake turned out to be a bit of a miss. There was a lot in the game that ended up squandering potential. Most notably, Nemesis was a big disappointment. After how Mr. X was used in RE2, most people felt that Capcom had the perfect template for Nemesis in RE3, but he ended up being severely underutilized. Meanwhile, a distinct lack of focus on puzzles and exploration led to an experience that felt far too action-heavy, and the fact that the game was surprisingly short – 5-6 hours at most – certainly didn’t help.
