What does Mario do with said addiction? Why, he uses it to annihilate Bowser’s minions, many whom don’t actually fight back. You could argue that these fools conscripted themselves into a war and knew the consequences. But at least they’re fighting for survival. When Mario can just skip right by and avoid them, why does he instead choose to jump on and crush them? For points? Immortality via 1Up mushrooms?
