It’s baffling to look at Crackdown 3 with the knowledge that this is a game that was in development for a prolonged period of time and was delayed on multiple occasions. Because what it ultimately is is a tired rehash of overused and ancient open world tropes, held together by slightest shadow of a poorly presented narrative, all set in a completely lifeless and boring open world environment. And the power of the cloud? Blowing up buildings in Wrecking Zone can be fun, sure, but I’m not sure it’s worth all the delays.
