There were many who believed that Mass Effect Andromeda was rock bottom for BioWare- boy, were we wrong. After over six years in development and years and years of hype, BioWare’s first crack at the looter shooter genre came out in February of this year, and ended up disappointing more than just a few people. As is the case with so many live service games, Anthem launched with a clear lack of meaningful content, while baffling design decisions, a crisis of identity, and some extremely annoying technical issues made for a sorely disappointing game. There’s potential inn Anthem, and BioWare has a lot of stuff planned for it in the months ahead, so let’s hope they manage to turn things around the way games like Destiny, The Division, and No Man’s Sky managed to do.
