2. Ornstein and Smough – Dark Souls

The original dynamic duo, Ornstein and Smough are as annoyingly tough as they are loved. Their coordination in attacks, varying immunities and a specific characteristic which causes the surviving boss to receive a boost to damage, resistance and HP along with full health makes them incredibly challenging and a real pain to fight. Kiting them around the arena and attacking behind pillars is necessary, not to mention killing Ornstein first to make the overall fight easier. Such is the difficulty and ingenuity of this encounter that From Software has been trying to recreate it ever since.
