Tagging enemies, marking the map
This is a small detail, but one that is significantly new to the Zelda franchise. You can now tag enemies so that you’re always aware of their position. Given the new complexity and layered approach of the combat, and the fact that certain enemy types can be harder to beat than others, this feature will definitely come in handy. Also, the large map of Breath of the Wild will not be littered with markers like so many open world games are. You mark the map yourself, with different kinds of markers available to you.
