Battle Arena: Toshinden
Was Tamsoft’s Battle Arena: Toshinden the best fighting game available? Not really but at the time, its demo was wholly unique. It was the first 3D weapons fighter, offering free movement and some fairly solid combo-based action. The demo in question offered three playable fighters out of eight and honestly, it was pretty solid especially when Soul Edge wouldn’t arrive for more than a year.
