Another standout classic in the PS1 era was Gran Turismo from Polys Entertainment (before it was renamed to Polyphony Digital). Only Quick Arcade and Single Race modes were available in the demo but it made up for this by offering lots of cars and courses to try out, which led to lots of replay value. The racing itself was equally spell-binding from the detailed graphics to realistic sound effects that made you want to race forever.
