So just how much did these nearly 8,000 games manage to sell? Well, quite a bit. That figure stands at an impressive total of 962 million software units. The PS1 itself is a console that sold upwards of 102 million, so combine that fact with its massive library, and it stands to reason that software sales would also be impressive.
