8. The Dark Knights Of The 19th Century

The Order 1886

The light in which the developers have portrayed the characters of the game is fantastic. The fact that we are ‘Knights’ in the 1800s is a formidable thing to deal with in itself. To top it off, these Knights are there to maintain the social order of the time and prevent it from spiraling into chaos, as it is threatened by the lower class of the time, owing to their lowly status and dissatisfaction with life. This breed of moral peacekeepers that we play is in stark contrast to the Dark Knight that we know of.

– Sense of honour and justice? Check
– Plush weaponry and wealth? Check
– Women? Uhh…there’s a lady Knight. Check.

That sums up nicely the Dark Knights of the Industrial Revolution.
