Every new generation of consoles opens up new avenues for developers and every subsequent generation has had a whole set of exclusive games that have defined them over the years. The current generation has had their pick and one of Sony’s pick as an exclusive for the PS4 is Driveclub. Originally slated to be released last year, its release was delayed to this year for a certain few reasons that have mostly been kept under the wraps.

But it’s not the delay that we are here to talk about. The game has garnered a lot of attention coming from the developers of MotorStorm who have put in a visible amount of effort to make this game. With the release of the alpha code gameplay videos, we’ve been acquainted with the primal features that the game is loaded with to appease the fans of the racing genre of games. Here are a bunch of reasons that have had us believe that Driveclub is going to be force to reckon with in the near future.

15. Not an NFS Title/Clone.

51. Driveclub 4

it may sound pretty stupid but I was sick of hearing about a new NFS game every now and then. As much as we had loved the Need for Speed series since the days of its start and right through to Underground and later, it has become somewhat redundant and has had far too many spin-offs. Driveclub is unlike the NFS games and isn’t really a challenger to the racing simulators like Gran Turismo, but a game that seems to be pitted against GRID 2.

It is good to see that Driveclub hasn’t stuck with the recipes of the yore of racing games and tried to bring a more dynamic racing game to the front.
