One last concern would definitely be surround sound. Have companies achieved complete, virtual surround sound that is compatible with VR headsets? Not a simple “it’s behind you” sound, but a true immersion of concurrent and ambient noise we can detect from all direction; able to waypoint exactly where it emerges from and how we know where to look. Sound is not currently at that level yet. The hardware developers have made great strides in showing our eyes what to see. Now they need to tell our ears what to hear.
