If you haven’t played Super Mario Odyssey yet, well, you’ve probably heard that it’s one of the best games ever made. That’s no small feat, especially in a year that included The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch. Super Mario Odyssey is more than just a great game – it’s also a gold mine for Mario fans, packed with secrets, Easter Eggs, references and cool details. Let’s take a look at some below.

Odyssey Globe Music

Super Mario Odyssey

The Odyssey, Mario’s hat-shaped ship that allows him to travel the world, has a few interesting secrets. The globe out in front, for instance, plays different musical notes when you jump on it. Listen closely enough and you’ll hear “Jump up, Super Star!”, the game’s signature song but in music box form. A second song can also play and it’s actually from the very first reveal trailer for those who remember it.
