THE DOWNFALL OF MAJOR DEVELOPERS

We’ve already mentioned Konami, and how they don’t seem to be interested in making proper games anymore, which is a bitter disappointment, considering their salivating catalog of properties. But they’re far from the only developers that have fallen from graces during this last decade. Bethesda were on top of the world with the likes of Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3 during the 2000s, but it’s fair to say that their output during the 2010s hasn’t been the best. BioWare were kings of the RPG genre with Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age, and more until not that long ago, but with Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem, it seems like things have been going from bad to worse for them. Here’s hoping these developers manage to find a way back to their glory days in the years to come.
