Going back to older games and bringing them to current audiences in completely modernized fashion has been one of this industry’s favourite things to do for a while, but the 2010s were absolutely dominated by such games. And what’s been surprising to see is just how many of them were absolute knockouts- Resident Evil 2, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Shadow of the Colossus, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2… and on and on the list goes.
