Okay, but say you are playing casually, and you don’t care about EVs, IVs, abilities, or shininess. Say you just want to catch Pokemon, and go about minding your own business. Wild Pokemon persistently calling for help, leading to each encounter being dragged out, and also leading to wild Pokemon being harder to catch as a result, can be really annoying. Thankfully, there is an easy way to ensure that Pokemon never call for help- just paralyze them, or put them to sleep. Once a status condition has been applied, they will stop calling for help. Do note, however, that this trick won’t work on Totem Pokemon.
