LESS OUTDOORS

Resident Evil is almost always at its best when it puts players within cramped and claustrophobic environments (though exploring Raccoon City in Nemesis might serve as an exception to that statement). Code Veronica lost a bit of that style of horror when it decided to, all too often, take players into the outdoors, in areas that were more open than fans of the series had been used to. A redesign of these areas to make them less of a focus, or perhaps to make them more restrictive, would certainly elevate the level design and atmosphere of a potential remake a great deal.
