15 Things You Need To Know Before You Buy Vampyr

French studio Dontnod Entertainment is best known for its excellent episodic adventure title Life is Strange, but their next project, the upcoming Vampyr, looks thoroughly different, and as such, quite intriguing. The upcoming action RPG looks to be attempting quite a lot of interesting things that you don’t see in video games all that often, and in this feature, we’re going to take a look at fifteen such things.

THE SETUP

Vampyr sees players taking on the role of Jonathan Reid, a doctor in London in the year 1918, in the middle of the Spanish flu outbreak. What’s interesting, though, and obviously the game’s main hook, that in this supernatural alternate history setting, Reid has also turned into a vampire. As such, the game will focus on the players being torn between their duties, as a doctor, of saving people’s lives, and Reid’s primal need for fresh blood as a vampire.
