Evolve’s microtransacations model has to be the among the most shameless we’ve ever seen. The game basically shipped for a full price of $60, but if you really wanted the full experience, you had to pay a lot more money to unlock more content in the game. On top of that, there were also additional microtransactions in the game itself, for things such as weapon skins, stuff that could have easily been included as in-game unlocks, especially in light of all the other stuff it demands payments for. This caused quite a lot of controversy, and as you can see, for good reason too.
