CALL OF DUTY: WWII
Call of Duty: WWII uses a microtransactions model that is quite similar to what we’ve seen in previous entries in the series. Basically, people can use real money to purchase COD Points, which can then be used to call in supply drops (or lootboxes). It’s nothing we haven’t seen a thousand times before in previous games, but its inclusion is still an issue- why include such pay-to-win mechanics in a game that is so heavily reliant on competitive online play? Shouldn’t it all ideally be about skill rather than a willingness to pay more money?
