FISHING
Fishing has, for some reason, been a prominent side activity in games for decades. Franchises like Zelda, Far Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Pokemon, Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy, are just a few of the many, many examples. And for some reason, it can be a lot of fun at times- it’s a lot of waiting around, which intermittently leads to a short minigame or even even just the press of a button at the right time, so it shouldn’t be anything but boring- but it is. It’s boring, but it’s fun. Kinda like real fishing.
