Mirror’s Edge
Remarkably, Mirror’s Edge confounded numerous players and critics back in 2008. A first-person action game with little-to-no shooting, an emphasis on speed and fluidity as opposed to patience and planning, Mirror’s Edge broke much new ground that people simply didn’t get it. It’s perhaps because of these immediately noticeable counterpoints in gameplay design that it took a while for Faith’s free run over streamlined city skyrises to find a footing, but its legacy is now firmly intact as a cult classic.
