When The Forest released in full after four years in early access it was still rife with bugs and stricken with underwhelming graphics. Graphics aren’t the be-all-and-end-all, of course, but PC players weren’t enthused by inherently glitchy gameplay especially seeing as The Forest’s console version was announced so swiftly after 1.0’s release. Still, despite these drawbacks, The Forest has been a commercial success, with exceptional enemy AI underlining a memorable experience.
