BRINK
There was a lot to like about Brink, from its enjoyable co-op gameplay to how it blended its shooting mechanics with a focus on traversal, especially at a time when the FPS genre was becoming increasingly saturated by games that were afraid to try anything new. It was, however, also a flat-out unfinished game. The combat itself would frequently be unable to compel players in any real way, solo gameplay was incredibly dull for the most part, and worst of all, the game was riddled with technical issues. Maybe if it had had an addition year or so in the oven, it could have turned into something special, but the game that we got to play ended up burying its shiny ideas under a pile of disappointments.
