The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
“Defeat Ganon,” the main quest objective says, after you’ve been briefed on the Calamity and Princess Zelda’s whereabouts. There’s an incredible amount of lore and stories to discover but the real depth is in Breath of the Wild’s place within the overarching timeline. Various clues point towards the nature of this setting’s Ganon, how the world from 100 years before may connect to other titles and much more. While producer Eiji Aonuma has hesitated to really confirm its placement, one answer is that this is the possible “end” of all timelines with all the series’ various plots and developments coalescing together. Again, that’s only one possible explanation but who knows what other secrets the game’s world could be hiding?
