LUIGI’S MANSION- CHAUNCEY

Luigi’s Mansion was set in a haunted mansion and was a game about running away from ghosts and sucking them into a vacuum cleaner, but it was by no means a horror game. However, one bit of information that the game presents that most people somehow choose to ignore is actually quite dark in its implications. Chauncey, the first boss you encounter in the game, is actually a baby- and, of course, he’s a ghost. It doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together to figure out that Chauncey is a the tortured spirit of a dead infant. What’s even worse is that you, as Luigi, go on to beat up the ghost of this dead baby.
