DUNGEON ESCAPE- THE WITCHER 2: ASSASSINS OF KINGS
Okay, admittedly, the section where you have to escape incarceration at the beginning of The Witcher 2 wasn’t particularly wrong, and thanks to an absence of insta-fails, it was also not even half as bad as most of the other entries we’ve mentioned in this feature. But compared to the rest of the excellent game, this part felt a bit too much like a chore. It was, first and foremost, funnelling you through extremely linear, guided sections, which broke up the momentum of the game right at the beginning, while the fact that the game simply wasn’t built with stealth as a viable option in mind also didn’t do it any favours.
