Glitches
With so much going on in their massive worlds, sandbox games are often filled with glitches and bugs. Some of these can be hilarious and entertaining. But more often than not, they just impede what could be an otherwise great experience. Bethesda titles like Skyrim and Fallout 4 are famous for their glitches, sometimes corrupting entire saves or making the game unplayable. No matter how good the game is, one game breaking bug can turn a player off forever.
