Fetch Quests Without Any Sort of Reasonable Narrative Justification
There only seems to be a couple kinds of missions in any open world game, and fetch quests show up more than any other. Titles like Fallout 4 and Skyrim often task players with venturing to a given location, picking up a specific item, and then walking back. It’s never fun if done excessively and there is often no serious narrative reason given for why the item is actually needed. It seems that NPCs just seem to want way too much stuff.
