Psychonauts 2 isn’t exactly trying to wow players with photorealism or with hyper-detailed characters or environments, but even so, the improvements it offers to Xbox Series X players as opposed to Xbox One players are nothing to scoff at. In both performance mode (which prioritizes 120 FPS) and resolution mode (which prioritizes 4K), the game looks crisp and sharp while boasting silky smooth performance. It’s not surprising that one of the best games of the year also boasts one of the best next-gen upgrades of the year.
