PENNY’S BIG BREAKAWAY
Coming from the team that developed Sonic Mania, Penny’s Big Breakaway was a game that quite a few people had their eye on, but the 3D platformer didn’t get an awful lot of attention when it shadow dropped earlier this year. On one hand, some rough edges – such as frustrating camera controls and some poorly balanced bosses – did admittedly drag the experience down, but by and large, thanks to clever and creative design and the inherent uniqueness of its core yoyo mechanic, Penny’s Big Breakaway is still well worth looking into for platforming fans.
