Matt Makes Games’ Celeste is about a girl trying to conquer the mountain of well, Celeste by reaching its highest peak all while she faces her biggest fear, herself. The game’s bright aesthetic is a great contrast to the surprisingly deep story that touches many untimely themes such as mental health among others. Of course, the platforming is also top-notch and the game has swaths of side content and collectibles that you can track down – all of which is again, quality stuff. The best part is that you can see the game to completion even when you use the game’s assist mode and it doesn’t rob you of any achievements or trophies for using this mode.
