STARSHIP TROOPERS: EXTERMINATION

Helldivers 2 was a spectacular Starship Troopers surrogate upon its release earlier this year, but the beloved sci-fi IP did get its own game this year, too- sadly, it was much less successful. Slaughtering arachnids building bases can be fun, but there’s so much else that holds the game back. The progression feels plodding, some key multiplayer features are missing, performance is problematic, certain elements of the experience feel half-baked- we could go on.
