Kept you waiting, huh?
Let it never be said that Kojima is above fanservice or nostalgia. The classic ‘kept you waiting, huh?’ line is, very obviously, in The Phantom Pain too, and it’s in there in the most self aware, tongue in cheek, knowing way. Kaz meets Snake after nine long years, and, like all of us, wants to hear Snake speak those iconic words.
Snake really kept us waiting there for a bit.
