Last Epoch
Even if many more players are on the Path of Exile 2 train, it’s still in early access. Last Epoch, on the other hand, exited early access, going from its humble beginnings as a janky experience by enthusiastic ARPG fans to a strong alternative. The class selection and Masteries provided enough depth without going overboard, allowing players to delve into all kinds of unique builds without getting lost (which the excellent crafting assisted with). However, even the campaign and end-game had their own appeal. From the time-travelling shenanigans of the former to the endless randomness of the Monoliths of Fate or the dungeons’ superb mechanics, Last Epoch covered all its bases and offered a fun ARPG experience.
